Vampire matchmaker? Anyone?

I accidentally got myself a vampire matchmaker yesterday. I don't... Is this normal? Can this break your game? Even better yet: can I fix this? Has anyone else have this happen? I've got some pictures of what happened, I'll post them behind the cut.

I invited the matchmaker over to cure my own sim, but the master vampire was still on the lot. I thought he was leaving and the second the matchmaker appears he turns around, stalks of to her and, well, this happens:

Vampire bites the matchmaker.

She vants your blaaaahd

I just like her new portrait.

This happened. I haven't seen this in the two years that I've had and played the game.

I posted about this in my journal yesterday, not too worried but I started worrying when I remembered the Sims 2's propensity to not always work as it's supposed to. So if anyone wants to help, reassure me, point and laugh or share stories about this kind of weirdness in their own game, feel free to comment.

It's okay for normal Sims, which includes most NPCs, to be vamped or otherwise altered. The problem comes with Sims like Mrs. Crumplebottom, who are NOT normal Sims, but are technically, in game terms, objects.

Regular Sims, whether they're your playables, townies and the like, NPCs with a particular role, etc., are unique to the neighborhood and have their own individual files in that neighborhood's directory. Mrs. Crumplebottom, being truly an object, has all her data stored in the actual game files in a subdirectory of C:\Windows\Program Files\ or the equivalent depending on your exact OS. If Mrs. C gets vamped, it alters a game file that should never be altered, and breaks things. If a regular Sim gets vamped, it only alters their own file, which is perfectly okay to alter.

this is kind of awesome. XD
I think if it broke your game, you'd have realized already. but it might be a good idea to put Pescado's creaturefixes in to avoid the possibility of Crumplebottom being bitten.

That is an odd thing... I've never come across anything like that.. but maybe you should have waited until the count left entirely...
