Custom Skin Shenanigans

I was just playing my prosperity neighborhood, which is becoming increasingly plagued with custom skin shenanigans. To be honest, this time it was my fault. I use a bunch of Genensims colorful skins, and one of my gray-skinned playables and his S1 wife just had a red-skinned baby.

I'm not sure how custom skins are made, but I'm pretty sure some of the Genensims skins aren't textured correctly for babies. For the record, this type of scary baby is even scarier when he has violet skin. I suspect the fact that you can't create babies in Body Shop/CAS is part of the reason. At any rate, it's pretty annoying.

Anyone else want to share their custom skin shenanigans stories?

I never use geneticized skins anymore. I always edit them so that their inheritance is purely custom... I haven't had any crazy stories to tell, but I hate babies being born that don't look like mom or dad in some genetic way, shape, or form.

Although once, I had a sim-girl born with eyes that I didn't even find in my game at all (I'm pretty sure she was "missing" her eyes because when I opened up her skintone file, the eyes on the texture matched the ones she had in the game).

That's pretty much all really ^^

I don't think they are - I use default eyes/skins in my game and the eye default is different from the skin default, and, on top of that, I've seen users with Sims who have non-alien skin and alien eyes.

I'm pretty sure it was just a different issue entirely.
